Corrugated Process Line Glossary of Terms

SINGLE FACE LAMINATION - Consisting a liner and a corrugated meduim.

SINGLE WALL BOARD - One single face laminated to the bottom liner.

DOUBLE WALL BOARD - Two single face laminated to the bottom liner.

LINER UNWINDS - unwinds the liner of the upper single face.

CONDITIONING ROLL - Heat and moisture applied to liner.

SINGLE FACER - Corrugates medium and glues medium to liner.

MEDIUM UNWINDS - Unwinds medium of upper single face.

LINER UNWINDS - Unwinds the liner of the lower single face.

CONDITIONING ROLL - Heat and moisture applied to liner.

SINFLE FACER - Corrugates medium and glues medium to liner.

MEDIUM UNWINDS - Unwinds medium of lower single face.

BOTTOM LINER - Unwinds the bottom liner.

CONDITIONING ROLLS - Heat and moisture applied to upper single face, lower single face and bottom, liner.

GLUE STATION - Applies glue to singles faces.

DOUBLE BACKER AND HOT PLATE SECTION - Laminates single faces to bottom liner and dries board.

SLITTER/SCORER - Trims, slits, and scores board for box.

STACKER - Boxes are stacked flat.

ACCUMULATOR - Upper single face accumulator.

ACCUMULATOR - Lower single face accumulator.
